THE CONCEPT
WHAT IS IT?
A DONATION THAT KEEPS ON GIVING
It means that the your donation will never be used by DD, but will instead be put into what is called an endowment fund. Within this fund, your donation will start earning regular dividents (theoretically forever). And only the dividends will then be used by DD for the societal work we do.
This means that the initial donation will continue to support DD forever in dividend payments, making your donation amount much larger in time. For example: a donation of 100€ today will end up as around 5000€ of payments over 50 years.
An endowment fund
All forever donations will be put into the endowment fund. The money is invested into a diverse portfolio of stocks, bonds and ETFs. No donated money will ever be taken out of this fund*, only the dividend payments. And of those dividend payments only up to 50% will be used, the other 50% will be reinvested into the endowment fund, making the donations not only continue to give over time, but also give more-and-more over time thanks to the “magic” of compound interest.
* Except in case of the threat of bankruptcy
USED to finance our mission-work
The purpose of the endowment fund is to finance the mission-based work of DD in a more independent way – not relying on grants or the income earned from business activities (real-estate in Tartu, DD StratLab consultancy services internationally). All the profits from these activities are also directed into the endowment fund. Learn more about what we do with our resources here.

To make a forever donation, just add into the bank transfer explanation box the words “forever donation” and 100% of this donation will be transferred to the DD endowment fund.
