So, as some of you probably already noticed, part of our team for the Center for Developing Democracy spent the last week travelling. We went to 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻 and 𝗢𝘀𝗹𝗼, took part of a conference and met with a bunch of impressive people working on democracy development around the world.
And we think it’s high time for you to meet the main “culprits” for that – 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 and 𝗘𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝘆𝗱𝗮𝗵𝗹 from our partner organization KrF Kristelig Folkeparti in Norway.
They invited us to the 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 annual meeting in Copenhagen and organized meetings in Oslo – first with a democracy assistance expert called 𝗕𝗷𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲 𝗧ø𝗿𝗮̊ and another one with 𝗞𝗷𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗶 𝗟ø𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘃𝗿𝘂𝗺, the head of the Commission of the official Norwegian Report on freedom of expression. KrF is our main partner in our new project of creating the 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (financed by Active Citizens Fund Estonia of Norway Grants) and you’ll be hearing much more about that in the future
We are very grateful to Evan and Ellen for their incredibly supportive and constructive partnership and for helping us become part of this world of democracy development.
The project is funded by Active Citizens Fund Estonia (ACF) of Norway Grants. ACF operator in Estonia is the Open Estonia Foundation in cooperation with the Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations.
